sTORY

In October of 1995, Pat Murakami, pastry chef extraordinaire, opened Ambrosia Fine Food. One of Sacramento's premiere catering companies. Deciding to expand, Pat has joined the renaissance of K street mall by opening her own café. The concept of a café serving a wide variety of fresh prepared foods made with consistent high quality, generous portions and fair prices, has lead to Ambrosia Café.

A California fresh influenced café with Ambrosia Fine Foods high quality standards, the café is a haven for those on the go for breakfast, lunch or a great cup of coffee. Executive Chef Marion Walker draws inspiration from the freshest products available on any given day from the local markets, farmers and purveyors of meat, fish and fowl. A few notable items from the menu are the Crème Brulee French toast, slow roasted eggplant with Feta cheese and hummus Panini, Broccoli crunch salad with Shaft's blue cheese, pecans, and raisins, and our house made soups.

The pastry counter at Ambrosia Café is overflowing with daily baked sweet and savory goods. Ranging from Cappuccino Brownies to Caramel Banana Tarts. The sweet tooth will be satisfied!

To enjoy with all of this fabulous food, Ambrosia is serving some of Northern California's premiere beverages. Peerless Coffee from Alameda County has a sparkling reputation among the top gourmet coffee roasters. The company's philosophy employs a social responsibility program that includes the STOP WASTE PROGRAM, the "fair trade" concept, and working with only "green" suppliers. Ambrosia will also be offering an exciting list of local wines from smaller, less known wineries. A Thursday night wine social will introduce a new winery every week as well as some exciting finger foods.
